The epidemic of continuing ancestral patterns.

We all wonder from time to time, "why are we here?"  and I'd like to say I help clients ponder the big Q on a regular basis.  Sure, we are all different and one person may give a different answer than another, but, I've noticed a common theme over the years.  And it's to do with the "stuff" we unknowingly inherit from our family.

I am not talking about the funny-shaped nose or dangly earlobes, no, I am talking about the unprocessed feelings of your mother / father unit, and that of theirs, and that of their parents, etc. etc. etc.  It's all of the unhealed wounds that plaque us on a daily basis and allow the subconscious mind to have command from the depths of the shadows.  We don't know what we don't know.  And until we shed the light of consciousness of these "genetic" issues, they will rule.  They will decipher who we choose as partners (i.e. who can we best play out the roles we didn't resolve in the original family unit). They will have an effect on how you react to your boss, they will be the unconscious reason you explode sometimes "out of the blue."  What's hysterical is historical.

In order to heal, process repressed emotion and integrate our shadow aspects of self, we have to at one point, when we are good and ready, come up against the beast of all psychological processes:  healing the ancestral lineage.  The bad news?  It can be deeply disturbing and take a significant amount of work.  The good news:  when you heal these old patterns, you are not only helping yourself, but the entire ancestral line.  This is because everything is connected vibrationally, and to change self is to transform all.

The incentive is high but the defense mechanisms against healing can be the most baffling.  I've come up with some strategies to get the heart of the familial trauma in order to be able to process, go through the feelings, release the blocked energy, and create space for unconditional love to come in and heal.  Integration is healing, and the ancestral wound is especially receptive to this bringing forth into awareness.

If you want to know really why you are here, ask yourself, have you looked into your family tree?  What are the issues that you see pass from generation to generation?  Start to bring your own awareness to these patterns and take your first step towards stopping the programming once and for all.  The change isn't out there, the change is within YOU.  You ARE the change.  Be the change.  Contact Bespoke Counselling for more information on transcending negative ancestral patterns.
